Fussball Daten has reported that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has placed Daniel Svensson on his shortlist and views the Dortmund player as an ideal addition to his tactical concept. Bild has also reported on Arsenal's interest in Svensson.

Arsenal, Leeds United, and Inter Milan are among several clubs interested in signing Daniel Svensson from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2026. Leeds are particularly keen on the 23-year-old left-back. Borussia Dortmund is asking for €30 million (£26m, $35.4m) for the Sweden international, and there is a 30 per cent chance he will depart the club that summer. Svensson, who has nine caps for his country, moved to Dortmund from Nordsjælland in July 2025 for a reported fee of €6.5 million. His contract is valid until 2029. He has made 20 appearances in the current Bundesliga season, contributing one goal and one assist. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €22.00m.
