Voetbalprimeur.nl reports that Club Brugge has officially announced Dani van den Heuvel's departure on a free transfer. In the coming period, the goalkeeper will be looking for a new club.

According to Voetbalnieuws.be, Dani Van den Heuvel's contract at Club Brugge is expiring and contains no option that can be triggered. If Club Brugge wants to keep the goalkeeper, negotiations are necessary, though it is uncertain if both parties wish to continue under the same conditions. The club plans to sign an additional experienced goalkeeper this summer to compete with Nordin Jackers, as Simon Mignolet is set to retire. For Van den Heuvel, remaining as third goalkeeper is considered unattractive, and staying as second is only possible if there is a real perspective. Club Brugge currently considers him starting as first goalkeeper after Mignolet's departure to be too significant a step.

According to Voetbalnieuws.be, Dani van den Heuvel has no future at Jan Breydel. It is also reported that Club Brugge is not planning to extend his expiring contract.

Dani van den Heuvel told Voetbal International that in the long term he would like to return to the Premier League, partly because he previously played in the youth team of Leeds United.
