English midfielder Dan Neil, who had been linked with moves to the south including to Southampton, has joined Rangers as their fifth signing of the summer transfer window on a three-year deal. The 24-year-old, who has three caps for the England U20 team, spent last season on loan at Ipswich, where he won promotion to the Premier League. Derek McInnes stated that he was delighted to welcome Neil, describing him as a technically gifted and energetic player who is strong in possession.
