Damir Kreilach has ended his contract with Vancouver and is contemplating a return to his hometown club, Rijeka. While he is thinking about retirement, he is also preparing to relocate to Croatia for family reasons. Originally from Vukovar, Kreilach found refuge in the Kvarner region where he began his professional career with Rijeka. In 2013, he transferred to Union Berlin, where he played 157 matches, scored 33 goals, and provided 18 assists. Seven years ago, he joined Real Salt Lake in the MLS, making 168 appearances, scoring 56 goals, and delivering 19 assists. In 2023, he played for Vancouver. After terminating his contract, Kreilach indicated that it was an appropriate time to return to Croatia, primarily to ready his children for the upcoming school year. He has yet to make a decision regarding retirement.
