Damian Węglarz: Arka Gdynia Contract Extension
In an interview with Trojmiasto.pl, Damian Węglarz stated that talks with Arka Gdynia representatives about extending his contract have not yet occurred, but he would like to remain at the club for longer. Węglarz revealed he has not signed a contract with any other club. He also commented that while it is his will to stay in Arka, the final decision belongs to the club's management.
Arka Gdynia has officially announced the extension of Damian Węglarz's contract until the end of June 2026. The 29-year-old goalkeeper joined the Pomeranian team in the last summer transfer window and became the primary goalkeeper after initially serving as a backup.
Damian Węglarz is currently performing well as the goalkeeper for Arka Gdynia, having kept eight clean sheets in 15 matches. Despite his performance, the club has not yet extended his expiring contract. He expressed his desire to stay at the club, stating that he is determined to remain, but the final decision rests with the club and its management. The contract may be automatically extended for another year, or they might negotiate a longer deal.
