Cristian Tarragona, a 34-year-old forward, has signed with Unión. He decided to pursue his dream of playing for the club he supports, Unión, even though he received a strong offer from Gimnasia de La Plata. At Gimnasia, he was well-regarded, having played there from 2022 to 2024, during which he scored 20 goals in 58 matches. Tarragona is set to sign a contract that will last until December 2026 after ending his contract with Talleres de Córdoba. Originally from Santa Fe, Tarragona returns to his hometown to join Unión, marking the first signing for the club's coach, Leonardo Madelón, for the latter part of the year as they prepare for the Clausura 2025. During his time at Talleres, Tarragona scored only one goal in the Copa Argentina before deciding to move on.
