Union has announced that Cristian Makaté will spend the rest of the season on loan at La Louvière. The 23-year-old Spanish-Equatoguinean international centre-forward had made three substitute appearances for Union, recording no goals or assists, and his opportunities were further reduced after the club signed another striker, Mateo Biondic. The move to the newly promoted La Louvière is intended to give Makaté more playing time. Makaté has two caps for Equatorial Guinea and his contract with Union runs until June 2029. His current Transfermarkt market value is €150k.
