Maribor has confirmed the signing of 32-year-old midfielder Claude Gonçalves from Legia Warszawa. Gonçalves has signed a two-year contract and joined the team at their training camp in Prekmurje. His playing history includes time in Poland most recently, and previously in Bulgaria. He has also played for Ludogorets, Gil Vicente, Troyes, and Tondela.

Maribor is interested in two players from Legia Warsaw. The club is targeting Petar Stojanović and 32-year-old Portuguese defensive midfielder Claude Gonçalves. It is reported that both players no longer have a future at the Warsaw-based club. Gonçalves, who has 5 caps for Portugal's U20 team, joined Legia in July 2024 and has a contract until June 2027.
