The president of Slavia Prague indicated that there was an agreement not to sell Zafeiris during the current transfer window. Despite this setback, PAOK has persisted in discussions with the player and his family, who are keen on relocating to Greece. Zafeiris has shown interest in departing Prague, feeling that his stint there has come to an end. PAOK intends to make a revised offer that could meet or surpass 10 million euros. Additionally, Zafeiris's strong bond with Giannis Konstantelias is seen as a further incentive for the transfer. The Czech club holds Zafeiris in high regard, as evidenced by the recent extension of his contract until the summer of 2028. This season, the 22-year-old has already appeared in three league matches, starting each one, and has recorded a goal and an assist. Over his two seasons with Slavia Prague, Zafeiris has participated in 103 matches, netting 12 goals and providing 12 assists, underscoring his significance to the team. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at €11.00m, a significant rise from the €2.50m Slavia Prague paid to acquire him from FK Haugesund in 2023.
