According to Nicolò Schira, Olympiacos turned down a bid of around €40 million from Brighton for Christos Mouzakitis during the last summer transfer window. The English club was reportedly willing to reach up to €80 million to acquire both Mouzakitis and Kostoulas. Mouzakitis, 18, was a key member in Olympiacos' Youth League victory.
Brighton is considering Olympiacos' midfielder Christos Mouzakitis as part of their scouting efforts. The 18-year-old promising talent has attracted the interest of several European clubs due to his standout performances, which include two goals and four assists in 30 appearances this season. Besides Brighton, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Villarreal, and Atletico Madrid are also keen on the Greek Under-21 international. Mouzakitis recently gained attention by playing a pivotal role in Greece's promotion to League A in the Nations League, marked by a decisive 3-0 victory during his first start for the national team.
