Christopher Wooh Transfer from Rennes to Spartak Moskva
Cameroonian central defender Christopher Wooh has been registered by Spartak Moscow for the 2025/2026 Russian Premier League season. The official RPL website confirms the registration. Spartak announced the signing of the 23-year-old from French club Rennes on September 5. According to media reports, the Cameroon national team defender joined Spartak as a free agent. He will wear number three for Spartak.
Spartak Moscow has agreed on a unique transfer format for Christopher Wu from Rennes. The transfer will be free of charge, but Rennes will receive 20% of any future resale of the player. This deal was reached after Rennes failed to agree on a contract extension with Wu.
Christopher Woo is on the verge of completing his transfer from Rennes to Spartak Moscow. AfricaFoot reported that his salary at Spartak will be €750,000 annually, which is three times higher than his current earnings at Rennes, where he makes €20,000 monthly, totaling €240,000 per year. Woo is presently in Spain to finalize the transfer. Earlier reports suggested that Woo would end his contract with Rennes and move to the Russian club as a free agent. Last season, he participated in 21 matches for Rennes without scoring, and this season he has been featured in two matches, receiving a red card in one of them. Transfermarkt has valued his market worth at €6 million.
Christopher Wooh, a 23-year-old defender, whose contract with Rennes was set to expire in June, will be transferred to Spartak Moscou in the coming days. Wooh, a Cameroonian international with 22 caps and 2 goals, joined Stade Rennais in 2022 from Lens and has played 60 matches across all competitions for the Breton club.
