Christian Marques Transfer from Yverdon Sport to Tondela
Christian Marques, a promising young central defender who recently concluded his contract with the Swiss club Yverdon, is on the verge of joining Tondela. The player has reportedly agreed to the terms of the project proposed by the auriverdes and is expected to ink a deal valid for the next four seasons. At 22 years old, Marques has a record of playing 56 matches, scoring one goal, and providing one assist over his two-year tenure with Yverdon. Marques was developed at Zurich and Wolverhampton and made his debut in Portuguese football with B SAD while on loan from Wolves. Additionally, he had a stint with Forest Green Rovers in England before making his return to Switzerland. Recently, Marques was included in the Portuguese U21 squad under the guidance of Rui Jorge for the European Championship in Slovakia. He is set to be unveiled by Tondela in the coming days, marking his introduction as one of the new additions to Ivo Vieira's team.
