The Greek club Aris is reportedly close to signing 26-year-old Levski central defender Christian Makoun. Aris has been actively negotiating with several central defenders in recent hours, with the Venezuelan being one of the targets as the club seeks to address issues with its defensive line. Makoun, who has a contract with Levski until the summer of 2027, did not participate in the Bulgarian team's recent Champions League qualifiers against Kairat Almaty. A report suggests this was because Levski is in negotiations with Aris for his sale. The defender himself is said to have no objection to the transfer. It is also believed that Levski is looking to secure a replacement before finalizing the deal and is in advanced talks with Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) for Lucas Riyan. A potential transfer of Makoun to Aris was previously mentioned in May 2025, but the management of the Thessaloniki club denied any interest at that time.
