According to 'Africa Footy', Wolfsberger AC is not willing to let defender Chibuike Nwaiwu leave in the winter, and a departure is only considered possible next summer, especially since his contract runs until 2027.
According to Top Mercato, several Ligue 1 teams have recently shown interest in Nigerian defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, with RC Lens, LOSC, Olympique de Marseille, RC Strasbourg, and Paris Saint-Germain mentioned as having expressed interest. The 22-year-old arrived at Wolfsberger in Austria from Heartland FC in the summer of 2024 and has a contract until June 2027. He is valued at 7 million euros by Transfermarkt. His versatile profile has also attracted interest from clubs outside France, with Bayer Leverkusen and Leeds being mentioned as interested parties. Nwaiwu has made 11 appearances in the current 2025/2026 domestic league season.
