Guinean midfielder Cheick Condé has joined FC Blau-Weiß Linz on loan from Italian Serie B side Venezia FC until the end of the season. The 25-year-old, who is intended to reinforce the midfield, has only played for Venezia's second team this season, making three appearances in the Primavera 2 - A league, but gained some Serie A experience in the previous campaign. He also brings experience from European competitions during a two-and-a-half-year spell with FC Zürich. In a press release, sporting director Christoph Schößwendter was cited as saying that Condé is expected to bring quality, mentality, and physical strength to provide the team with more stability for the remaining 15 rounds. A full international for Guinea with 10 caps, Condé has a current market value of €1.60m according to Transfermarkt. Venezia had signed him from Zürich in January 2025 for a reported fee of €2 million. He had also been linked with clubs such as Pescara, Atromitos, and Cagliari.
