The club encountered difficulties in an attempt to sign Sasha Marcich from Lanús due to that club's high demands. As a result, Racing has initiated conversations with Huracán for César Ibáñez, who is reportedly open to a move. Huracán is willing to listen to Racing's proposal because the club needs to sell players to pay its debts. These debts include an expected new inhibition of about one million dollars for a debt with Unión Española of Chile concerning Leandro Garate.
