Journalist Mario Coelho reported that Vasco da Gama rejected a 5 million euro offer for Cauan Barros from AEK Athens. The board of Vasco considers Barros a key player and will only negotiate if an offer reflects his sporting and economic potential. According to Greek sources, AEK had considered signing a midfielder before choosing Sahabo, and Barros was on the list. It remains unclear whether AEK reached the 5 million euro amount mentioned by Brazilian reports or if the interest was only at an exploratory level.
