Carlos Vinícius Transfer from Fulham to São Paulo

São Paulo is reportedly interested in signing Carlos Vinícius as a replacement for Jonathan Calleri, who will be out until 2026. The club has begun initial discussions with the player's representatives since his contract with Fulham is set to end in June. São Paulo views this as a market opportunity, as they would only need to cover the player's salary. However, the deal is said to be complicated due to salary cap issues, with the club needing to free up space by offloading some players. They are also reportedly cautious about offering a long-term contract and are considering a deal lasting one to one-and-a-half years. The negotiations are still in the early stages, and São Paulo is evaluating how much Carlos Vinícius expects in salary, considering his previous earnings in British pounds. The club is contemplating offloading Matheus Alves, who is attracting interest from CSKA for 10 million euros, to help free up salary space, although his departure alone would not be sufficient. Additionally, São Paulo is being mindful of not overcrowding their forward options with André Silva's presence and Ryan Francisco's development.
