Brazilian-Italian centre-back Carbone has left Flamengo to join FC Lugano in Switzerland. The 21-year-old player was announced by the Swiss club on Tuesday, having signed a contract that runs until mid-2029. Carbone, who is from Flamengo's youth academy, terminated his previous deal, which was set to expire at the end of the year. The move came after he became too old for the U-20 team and was not part of coach Filipe Luís's plans for the professional squad. As part of the arrangement, Flamengo will retain a percentage of the player's economic rights, providing for a profit from any future sale. In the 2025/2026 season, Carbone made one appearance in the Campeonato Carioca.
