GC has signed Bujar Pllana on a contract that runs until the end of the 2027/28 season. Pllana is a 24-year-old who is a current player for the Albanian national team. He most recently played for Lechia Gdansk in Poland and will wear the number 44 for the Zurich-based club.

Bujar Pllana terminated his contract with Lechia Gdańsk by mutual consent, according to Tomasz Galiński. The centre-back left the Tri-City club as a free agent.

Bujar Pllana is almost openly demanding to leave. According to 'WP Sportowe Fakty', Władysław Łupaszko stated that Pllana had certain proposals and also said that it would be better for the club if these players left, as it would allow the club to gain funds for new signings.

Tomasz Galiński stated that Bujar Pllana refused to play. Galiński said they probably guess the reason is either that Pllana has a transfer prepared soon, or that he did not get paid and does not want to play in such conditions. Galiński also said he heard that Bujar Pllana is to be punished for this, but that is a separate matter. Władysław Łupaszko, Lechia's coach, stated that Bujar Pllana is healthy and could have played, and suggested questions should be directed to Bujar Pllana and his agents.
