Fulham made an approach to Ajax with the aim of securing a loan deal for 23-year-old Dutch striker Brian Brobbey. However, Ajax was not open to a loan arrangement, as they were looking for a permanent transfer. This was evident from their previous negotiations, including a rejected proposal from Como and interest from Sunderland, who submitted a bid just before the closure of the English transfer window. Although Fulham's loan offer was declined, Ajax was open to considering bids around 25 million euros, which they considered a realistic price for a permanent transfer. Brobbey's contract with the Amsterdam-based club is due to expire in June 2027, and Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €22 million.
