ESPN BR reports that the transfer of 27-year-old Brazilian and Italian goalkeeper Brenno from Fortaleza to Sport is at an advanced stage. Sport has reached a full agreement with the player, who is finalizing the termination of his contract with Fortaleza. Sport has an expectation that the deal could be officially completed as soon as this Wednesday. The club is seeking a new goalkeeper to replace Halls, who was recalled from his loan by Vila Nova. Brenno's departure from Fortaleza follows him losing his starting position in April and he has not played often since. His contract, which was valid until December of the following year, is being ended by mutual agreement. The goalkeeper has one cap for Brazil's U23 team, joined Fortaleza in January 2025, and has a current market value of €500k, according to Transfermarkt. This season, he has made 11 appearances in the Campeonato Cearense and 3 in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B.
