Esbjerg fB announced that 19-year-old Icelandic central midfielder Breki Baldursson will be loaned to Åsane Fotball in the autumn. Esbjerg fB's sporting director, Sebastian Brydegaard, says that Breki Baldursson is a young player with a professional approach and a strong desire to develop. He also states that there is strong competition for central midfield positions, and for that reason they have jointly considered the appropriate next step for Breki. Brydegaard further mentions that Åsane is a good opportunity for all parties, allowing Breki to gain new experiences and continue his development with senior football at a good level. Esbjerg fB wishes Breki good luck with the challenge and will monitor him for the rest of the year. Baldursson has 2 caps for Iceland U20. In the 2025/2026 season, he made 18 appearances in the Besta deild, 16 in the U19 Boys League, and 9 in the 1.Division. His current Transfermarkt market value is €50k.
