Brøndby IF midfielder Benjamin Tahirovic has been a candidate for German runners-up Borussia Dortmund for several months. The club reportedly registered its interest in the player before the World Cup, when Sebastian Kehl was responsible for transfers. After Ole Book's takeover, interest in the 23-year-old, who also holds Swedish nationality, is said to have decreased somewhat, although he remains on the club's shortlist. The potential transfer fee is reportedly a particularly attractive aspect for BVB, as the Bosnian is thought to be available for under ten million euros. The 31-cap international has scored two goals for his country and has a contract in Copenhagen that runs until 2028. Tahirovic joined the Danish club in February 2025 and has also been linked with Celtic, Porto, and Rangers. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €4.50m.
