Watford are rumoured to be interested in Preston North End's 29-year-old English club captain and central midfielder, Ben Whiteman, following an outstanding season for the player. The interest comes as Watford are reportedly looking to rebuild their squad by adding Championship experience to their first-team, and it is expected that there will be significant interest in Whiteman. Whiteman joined Preston in January 2021 and has a contract that runs until June 2027. His current market value is €2.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
