Over the last several months, Balthazar Pierret has been connected with a potential transfer to the Ekstraklasa on multiple occasions. Media previously reported interest from both Lech Poznań and Widzew Łódź. At one point, there was also information suggesting the player wanted to join Legia Warszawa. Pierret has a past with Escola Varsovia. More recently, Polish clubs, including Widzew, have again shown interest in the 26-year-old French defensive midfielder, who transferred to the French team Red Star from US Lecce at the end of January. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €1.50m.
