Media had linked 25-year-old French defensive midfielder Balthazar Pierret with several Polish clubs, including Lech Poznań, Widzew Łódź, and Cracovia. It was reported that the Lecce player was only interested in a move to Legia Warsaw and wanted to play in Poland again exclusively for the Warsaw team. However, the capital club did not make a concrete offer, leading the player to pursue other options. Pierret will join French second-division side Red Star FC, and the move is considered finalized. He joined Lecce in July 2024 and has a contract until June 2027. This season, he has made three appearances in Serie A. Transfermarkt lists his current market value as €1.40m.
