Olympiacos have officially announced the acquisition of Balsa Popovic from Crvena Zvezda. Olympiacos paid 1,500,000 euros to the Serbian club for the Montenegrin goalkeeper, and Crvena Zvezda retained a 15% resale percentage. According to Serbian sources, Popovic has signed a five-year contract with Olympiacos.

According to information from Serbia, Balsa Popovic is expected to sign his new contract with Olympiacos. Serbian sources report that Popovic's transfer will be completed within the next two days. Popovic arrived in Greece last Saturday and will be acquired as the second goalkeeper behind Tzolakis. There is a full agreement with Crvena Zvezda, and after the contract is signed, the only remaining step will be the official announcements. Popovic's contract will be for five years.

The goalkeeper, who has four caps for Montenegro, is under contract with Red Star Belgrade until June 2028 and has a current market value of €1.20m, according to Transfermarkt. In the 2025/2026 season, he made 28 appearances in the Super liga Srbije and 6 in the championship round.
