Girona is reportedly considering a move for 32-year-old Moroccan striker Ayoub El Kaabi as a solution for an immediate impact to help them avoid relegation. A transfer is considered complex due to several obstacles, including his contract with Olympiacos which is in its final six months, while Marseille and teams from Saudi Arabia are also interested. El Kaabi has informed Olympiacos that his priority is to remain in Greece if his financial terms are met, and reports from December 2025 state Olympiacos has set a minimum asking price of €12 million.
