Olympiacos has made an offer to Palmeiras to acquire the 20-year-old Brazilian defender Artur Gabriel. According to information from Brazil, the offer amounts to 9.5 million euros. The proposed payment structure is 6 million euros now, with the player joining the team next January, at which point another 3 to 3.5 million euros would be paid. The delayed transfer is because Palmeiras wants to keep him until at least November. Palmeiras's first response to the offer was negative, but Olympiacos will make another attempt to acquire the defender. Artur Gabriel is considered one of the biggest talents in Brazilian football, having scored four goals and provided four assists in 72 games with the U20 team, and made 27 appearances with the first team in all competitions. He joined Palmeiras in January 2026, and his contract expires on 31/12/2029. His current market value is €3.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
