Artem Dzyuba: Akron Contract Extension

Akron's sporting director, Anton Chistyakov, has commented on a potential contract extension for forward Artem Dzyuba. The 37-year-old player's current agreement concludes in the summer of 2026. According to RB Sport, Chistyakov stated that there are currently no agreements. He mentioned that the situation is similar to last season, after which Dzyuba extended his contract, and that they will discuss the matter calmly. Chistyakov also noted that just over a third of the championship has passed.

Artyom Dzyuba has extended his contract with Akron until the end of the 2025/2026 season. Pavel Morozov, the founder of Akron, praised Dzyuba's goal-scoring instinct and highlighted his value as a key player and leader both on the field and in the locker room. This decision comes after the team secured the right to play in the Russian Premier League last year.

Football agent Leonid Goldman, representing Artem Dzyuba, stated that negotiations are ongoing to extend Dzyuba's contract with Akron. Goldman met with sports director Anton Chistyakov for discussions. The decision depends on Dzyuba's readiness to continue his career. Dzyuba's current contract is valid until summer 2025.
