According to an update from Mundo Deportivo, 27-year-old Spanish midfielder Aritz Aldasoro has joined Real Oviedo on loan from Racing de Santander for the remainder of the season, becoming the club's seventh new signing. A product of the Real Sociedad academy, Aldasoro was promoted to the Segunda División with their B team before moving to Racing in 2022. He became a regular starter for the Cantabrian side, playing 117 matches in his first three seasons and was part of the squad that recently secured promotion to Primera División. Last season, he renewed his contract until 2029, made 19 appearances, and scored one goal. He arrives at Real Oviedo to strengthen their midfield and seek a more prominent role under manager Julián Calero. His current Transfermarkt market value is €1.50m.
