Antonio Palumbo Transfer from Modena to Sassuolo
Tuttomercato reports on Antonio Palumbo's potential transfer to Sassuolo after his impressive performances with Modena.
Antonio Palumbo, who had a successful season with Modena scoring nine goals and providing ten assists in 35 appearances, is attracting interest from Sassuolo. Previously, there was an attempted move for Palumbo during the winter by Sassuolo. Giovanni Carnevali of Sassuolo mentioned that they are interested in Palumbo, especially after their promotion to Serie A. While emphasizing the good relationship with Modena, Carnevali stated that they would evaluate the situation without causing disputes.
In January, Sassuolo requested Antonio Palumbo, but Modena rejected the offer as Palumbo is crucial for their playoff ambitions.
Antonio Palumbo, a key player for Modena with seven goals and nine assists in 23 appearances, was a major target for Sassuolo to strengthen their midfield. However, Modena demanded no less than three million euros for the player's transfer, leading Sassuolo to withdraw from the negotiations. Palumbo had reached an agreement with Sassuolo, but the deal did not progress further.
Sassuolo is interested in acquiring Antonio Palumbo from Modena. Modena is reluctant to lose their captain and might do everything possible to retain him, but if they succumb to Sassuolo's allure, they are already prepared with an alternative. According to sources, if Palumbo's transfer does occur, Modena is considering Simone Verdi as a potential reinforcement for their squad.
