According to Mundo Deportivo, Àngel Fortuño has renewed his contract with Espanyol until 30 June 2030. The club plans for Fortuño to be loaned out so he can get playing time that he has not had in the last three seasons.

Fortuño joined RCD Espanyol Barcelona in July 2024, making one appearance in LaLiga during the 2025/2026 season. He has been capped three times for the U20 team for Spain and has a current market value of €300k according to Transfermarkt.
