Spezia is nearing the acquisition of Anes Cardaklija, a 2005-born Bosnian player with a Swedish passport who is currently with Gais in Sweden. The defender was also liked by Cologne and Stuttgart, whose offers were rejected, as well as by Borussia Monchengladbach. However, the Ligurian club has reportedly succeeded and is working on a development loan which includes an option for a future transfer. Cardaklija joined GAIS in September 2022 and has a contract with the club until the end of 2028. He has two caps for the Bosnia-Herzegovina U21 national team and has a current market value estimated by Transfermarkt to be €500k.
