Andy Irving Transfer from West Ham United to Celtic

Andy Irving had been frequently linked with Celtic over the past 12 months or so. Reports in the summer claimed the Parkhead club had made a bid for the midfielder. Celtic reportedly bid £2.2 million for the player in the summer. According to reports at the time, his side, which is now in the relegation zone, was seeking a fee of about £3.5 million. That transfer has now officially been ruled out, as Irving is choosing a move to the Czech Republic instead. Celtic were said to be admirers of Irving, but with the player now signing with Sparta, those links have ended.

According to Claret & Hugh, Andy Irving is expected to leave West Ham in January, and there is interest in him from Celtic, Rangers, and Wrexham. Celtic may renew their interest in the 25-year-old after West Ham rejected an offer from the club of over €2 million in August. It is reported that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side is willing to sell the midfielder if they receive a suitable bid from any interested party.

Celtic has been linked with a move for Scottish West Ham playmaker Andy Irving, 25, with a £3.5 million price tag. They face competition from Rangers and clubs in Serie A and the Bundesliga. Irving's contract with West Ham is set to expire in June 2026, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €4.00m.
