Galatasaray has identified Chelsea FC's 2004-born Brazilian midfielder, Andrey Santos, as a transfer target, aligning with their strategy to sign a young player who fits the Turkish Football Federation's 10+4 foreign player rule. Chelsea acquired Santos from Vasco da Gama in 2023 and subsequently loaned him back to his former club, as well as to Nottingham Forest and RC Strasbourg Alsace. Last season, Santos featured more in Chelsea's rotation. His transfer fee is reported to be approximately 40 million Euro, a figure Galatasaray intends to negotiate to a lower amount. The management at the Turkish club plans to initiate official talks with Chelsea this week. Santos has six caps for Brazil and is under contract with Chelsea until June 2030. His current market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €40.00m. Manchester United and Newcastle United have also been recently linked with the midfielder. Reports in July 2026 cited a Chelsea asking price of £50 million. A bid between €50 million and €70 million from Al Qadsiah was reportedly rejected by the player in September 2025.
