Rennes announced on Wednesday the definitive transfer of Andrés Gomez to Vasco da Gama. According to Ouest-France, the transfer could earn the French club around 5 million euros. This amount is half of what Rennes paid Salt Lake City for the player in 2024.

According to Globo.com, Vasco has an agreement to purchase Andrés Gómez from Rennes. The club will exercise the purchase option provided in the forward's loan contract. Vasco's management will invest more than 4.5 million euros, which is approximately R$ 30 million, for 60% of the player's economic rights.

According to Globo.com, Vasco is interested in making Gómez's loan move permanent. Vasco considers making Gómez's stay permanent as a reinforcement for the season.

Colombian player Andrés Gómez, on loan from Rennes of France, joined Vasco in the second half of the year and had a series of strong performances, becoming an established member of the team coached by Fernando Diniz. He was a notable performer during the club's campaign that led to the Copa do Brasil final and finished the year with one goal and seven assists in 21 matches.
