According to Sport.ro, Dinamo had Dumitrescu as their top choice for the left-back position, but the negotiations did not finalize. The club has since chosen another option and reached an agreement with Valentin Țicu, a move that permanently ended the possibility of signing Dumitrescu.

Andres Dumitrescu, who was on loan from Slavia Praga at Sigma Olomouc, has terminated his agreement with Sigma Olomouc to sign with Dinamo in the coming days. The official website of Sigma Olomouc reported that Andres Dumitrescu will not continue his loan this spring. Dinamo president Andrei Nicolescu confirmed the transfer is completed. According to Nicolescu, the new defender will play the position of left back and will be presented on January 2.

Dinamo intends to sign Andreas Dumitrescu this winter. The 24-year-old left-back is currently playing for Sigma Olomouc in the Czech Republic, where he is on loan from Slavia Praga until the summer, and has played in only five matches this season. Dinamo wants to acquire him to provide serious competition for Raul Opruț. Slavia Praga had purchased Dumitrescu from his former club Sepsi in 2023 for a one million euro fee.
