Ionut Radu, a 28-year-old Romanian goalkeeper, is on the verge of joining Celta on a free transfer. The club has been in negotiations with his agents for several weeks, and Radu is anticipated to take over from Vicente Guaita, whose contract with Celta has not been renewed. Radu brings a wealth of experience from Italian football, having been part of teams such as Inter, Genoa, Cremonese, and Venezia. At Venezia, he was a regular starter last season, participating in 15 matches since his February move from Inter. In addition to his club experience, he has also represented Romania internationally and has played for Auxerre in France and Bournemouth in England. The transfer has been approved by Claudio Giráldez.
