Andrei Dorobanțu, a 21-year-old Romanian right-back, will join UTA Arad on loan for the upcoming season from Unirea Slobozia. Dorobanțu was previously wanted by FCSB and recently extended his contract with Unirea Slobozia until 2028. Coach Adrian Mihalcea had previously managed the player at Slobozia, and according to Sport.ro, he persuaded Dorobanțu to join. The agreement is reported to be complete, and the contract does not contain a permanent transfer clause. Journalist Emanuel Roșu also reported interest from the Arad-based club. A few days prior, Unirea Slobozia's president, Ilie Lemnaru, had told Sport.ro that several Superliga teams had made offers and that the club was considering a loan deal. Dorobanțu joined Unirea Slobozia in July 2021. In the domestic league during the 2025/2026 season, he made 30 appearances and provided one assist. He has no caps for the Romania U21 team. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €300k.
