Following FC Utrecht's 5-0 loss to Excelsior Rotterdam on Sunday, midfielder Alonzo Engwanda was questioned about reported interest from Club Brugge. The 23-year-old Belgian, who joined Utrecht from Anderlecht in 2024, responded that he was now aware of the situation, claiming it was the first time he had heard about the Belgian top club's interest, and he repeated this assertion. Transfermarkt estimates his transfer value to be seven million euros. His contract with the Dutch club runs until 2028 and he has one cap for Belgium's U20 side. Club Brugge is also reportedly interested in Ajax defender Dies Janse.
