Hertha BSC is reportedly interested in Almugera Kabar, but the club is likely to miss out on the transfer.

According to 'Bild', Hertha BSC is interested in a loan deal for Almugera Kabar, a 19-year-old German-Libyan left-back from Borussia Dortmund who is looking for a new club this winter. Kabar, however, is reportedly seeking a permanent transfer. Other clubs have also inquired about the player, including VfL Wolfsburg and Hamburger SV, and talks with the latter are said to be at an advanced stage. The player is seeking a move due to a lack of playing time under Niko Kovac, despite signing a contract with Dortmund until 2028 only a year ago. This season, Kabar has made 10 appearances for Dortmund's reserve team in the Regionalliga West, scoring 4 goals and providing 1 assist. The Germany U20 international has 2 caps, and according to Transfermarkt, has a current market value of €3.00m. According to reports from September and November 2025, Premier League club Brentford was willing to offer €20 million for the player.
