Santos permitted Alfredo Morelos to leave on a free transfer in exchange for him withdrawing his threat to take the club to FIFA for unpaid wages. Santos denied it owed Morelos that much and had set a value of £5 million on him. After weeks of negotiations between Atletico Nacional, Santos and legal representatives, Morelos was permitted to leave for free on the condition that he withdrew his claim against the club.
