Racing has secured Alfonso Espino as a new player, after reaching a verbal agreement with the 34-year-old Uruguayan left-back. Espino, who was a free agent from Rayo Vallecano, is set for a two-year contract. The defender, who also holds Spanish nationality, joined Rayo Vallecano in July 2023 and has not yet been capped by the Uruguay national team. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €900k.
