Watford's English goalkeeper Alfie Marriott has joined National League South side Chelmsford City on a five-month loan to gain more first-team experience. The move for the 22-year-old, who joined Watford in July 2024, comes as the club has a sufficient number of players in its goalkeeping department, particularly after the arrival of Federico Ravaglia. Marriott, who played seven times for Slough Town in the same league last season, said it was the perfect move for his career. According to a confirmation from Watford Football Club, the loan will last until January 4.
