Carl Zeiss Jena needs another goalkeeper because their primary goalkeeper, Marius Liesegang, sustained a broken elbow in September. The club could re-sign its homegrown player Alexios Dedidis, who is now training with the team to demonstrate his abilities to new coach Marco Grote. Another goalkeeper, Max Schreiber, who last played in Luxemburg, is also undergoing a trial with the team. Dedidis is considered to have an advantage as he lives in Jena, is familiar with the club, and is reportedly willing to assist for a low salary. Any new signing would be expected to accept a role as the second-choice goalkeeper.
