Gigi Becali revealed that Alexandru Mitriță will leave Universitatea Craiova after playing two more matches, against FCSB and Dinamo, to move to the Middle East. Mitriță will go to Saudi Arabia, where he previously played for Al-Ahli Jeddah and Al-Raed. The transfer agreement involves sharing the transfer money 50% with Mihai Rotaru, the owner of Universitatea Craiova. No official transfer fee will be received by Universitatea Craiova.

Alex Mitriță stated he will remain at Universitatea Craiova until the summer of 2024. He emphasized his commitment to achieving the club's objectives before discussing his future beyond summer.
