Debenedetti began his career as a midfielder in Sampdoria's youth academy before transitioning to an attacking role at Finale Ligure, where he caught the attention of Genoa. At Genoa, he became a key player for the Primavera team, netting 18 goals in the 2022/2023 league season and adding 2 more in the Coppa Italia. During his loan spell at Mantova, he contributed to winning the Serie C championship and participated in Serie B last season, where he scored 4 goals in 29 appearances, totaling 810 minutes on the field.
