Australian A-League club Perth Glory is searching for a new winger from Europe and is considering 30-year-old Croatian player Alen Halilović and former Milan and Villarreal player Samu Castilleja. Halilović is a free agent because his contract with Fortuna Sittard expired this summer; the Dutch club had confirmed at the end of March that his departure was a possibility. A move elsewhere for Halilović did not materialize earlier in the summer. This followed a report from Fabrizio Romano in July that the player was in advanced talks with the Iranian club Persepolis. While there is no confirmation of an agreement with Perth Glory, Halilović is listed as a candidate for one of the team's final attacking spots. Halilović has 10 caps for the Croatian national team, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €400k. He was also linked with the Brazilian club Internacional during the summer.
